front go through, as i mentioned. it's now settled across the central part of virginia, but there's no weather associated with this front. there's a nice area of high pressure coming in behind it, and it will produce a little bit of a breeze, but that's about it. as we head toward the middle of the week, we might see a little area of low pressure develop on wednesday, but for the next few days, it's going to be quiet. we did have the showers, as i mentioned before, but everything has dissipated now, and we expect a dry commute. we can see a little bit of cloud cover, especially in the southern suburb, but that's breaking up. we'll just call it a mix of sun and clouds. i'll show you the seven-day forecast in just a second. let me just give you the last update on igor. it passed over bermuda last night as a category one hurricane. it did produce some damage, but we're not seeing big reports of catastrophic conditions on the island. they got a big storm surge out of it, and now the storm is about 100 miles north of bermuda and pulling away into the open waters of the atlantic. so we

. satellite imagery indicating clear skies from mature new york, for baltimore, to the virginia, north carolina border. winds will be less than 5 miles per hour leading temperatures cooler into the 40's in the outlying suburbs. bwi marshall has not been below 50 degrees since june 11th. nav the first time in 100 days or so that we go below the 50 degree mark. warmer, more humid air coming this way and eventually some of that will come back our direction, but not until wednesday or thursday. another gorgeous day tomorrow. a few thunderstorms showing up off to the west of us. wednesday afternoon, there may be some hit or miss scattered storms with hazy, hot humid weather. tomorrow, very comfortable. light southerly winds with lots of sunshine. 77 degrees in the afternoon. sunrise at 6:53 a.m. on the day tomorrow, a gentle day on the chesapeake. fort mchenry is at sunrise -- we rebound nicely. sunshine and a westerly breeze will get them into the 70's. over to annapolis and down into southern maryland, sunny and 79 on tuesday. there are some dangerous rip currents because of hurricane igo

that produced a few sprinkle natural couple of neighborhoods, but now it's drifting south to virginia, and there's really no activity along this front. no precipitation. there was a little bit of a cloud deck that we still have to get through, so we'll call it a mix of sun and clouds as we go through the day today, but again, we don't expect any rain. partly to mostly sunny. and this cloud deck that's right on the edge of your screen there, those are the outer fringes of hurricane igor. we're finally going to say goodbye to igor. it passed across bermuda last night as a category one storm. i did not see any reports of catastrophic damage, but there was a big storm surge with this system, even though it was downgraded to category one. it still carries a big wall of water with it. now it's about 100 miles north of bermuda, and it will continue to track into the open waters of the north atlantic. so we say goodbye to igor. mostly sunny today. again, you'll see a couple of clouds hanging around, but jnl a nice day. going to be a little bit on the breezy side, but a good start to the workweek. clear
